Crispy Chicken in Sweet and Sour Sauce is one of the yummy recipe I have made. Crispy coated chicken in sweet & sour sauce gives a delicious taste. I serve it with chicken fried rice but you can serve with plain rice as well. A must try recipe.

Ingredients
- For Crispy Chicken
- Chicken 350g (cubed)
- Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Corn flour 2 tsp
- Plain flour 2 tbsp
- Egg white 1
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Hot water for making batter
- Oil for frying
- For Sweet and Sour Sauce
- Stock or water 1 cup
- Sugar 1/4 cup
- Ketchup 4 tbsp
- Vinegar 1/4 cup
- Chili garlic sauce 2 tsp
- Soya sauce 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Capsicum 1 (cubed) (optional)
- Corn flour 2 tbsp (mixed in 2 tbsp water)
Instructions
For Crispy Chicken
- Marinade chicken with red chili powder, black pepper and salt. Leave for 30 minutes.
- Make a medium thick smooth batter by mixing corn flour, plain flour, egg white, oil, a little salt and hot water. It should not be runny and not to much thick.
- Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Dip chicken in batter and deep fry until golden brown and tender. Remove from oil and keep aside.
For Sauce
- Put all sauce ingredients in cooking pan except capsicum and corn flour. Cook until sugar dissolve. Adjust salt and sweetness according to your taste. Add capsicum and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add corn flour slowly and mix gently and cook until slightly thick.
- Place crispy chicken in serving platter, pour over sauce and serve with <strong> [url href= https://therecipespk.com/chicken-fried-rice/]Chicken Fried rice.[/url] <strong>
