  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1.1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 125g butter
  • 2 tablespoons coco powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • For Icing
  • 1 packet cream
  • 2 tablespoons coco powder
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • Strawberries for garnish


  1. Grease an 8-inches pan and keep it a side. Preheat oven at 170 degree C.
  2. Sieve all purpose flour and baking powder in a bowl/plate. Keep it a side.
  3. Take a sauce pan; add in butter, coco powder, and milk. Place on stove and hot it until butter melts, but does not boil.
  4. Beat eggs with electric beater until foamy then mix in sugar until dissolve.
  5. Now fold in sieved dry ingredients (all purpose flour and baking powder) followed by melted butter mixture. There should not any lumps.
  6. Pour batter in greased pan. Place in oven and bake at 170 degree C for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Insert knife or tooth pick in center of cake, if comes out clean, cake is ready.
  8. Take out pan from oven and cool the cake on wire rack for 5 minutes.
  9. For Icing
  10. Add 2 tablespoons cream, coco powder and brown sugar in a pan and cook until a thin paste is formed. Remove from heat.
  11. Now slowly fold icing sugar in mixture.
  12. Cover the cake with this icing. Decor with remaining cream and strawberries and serve.
