Taftan bread originated from Persian cuisine. This is very easy to make at home. Follow the recipe.

Homemade Taftan Bread Recipe

Ingredients
Taftan Dough
- Flour 300 gm or 3 cups
- Yeast 1 tsp
- Dry milk powder 3 tbsp
- Caster sugar 2 tbsp
- Melted butter or oil 2 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp ( leveled)
- Warm water to knead
For Topping
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Milk 2 tbsp
- Brown sugar 1 tsp
- Yellow food colour 1 pinch
Instructions
- For Taftan: Take all ingredients in a bowl & knead with warm water. The dough should be soft.
- Leave it to rise for at least one hour.
- Now make taftan & prick with the back of the spoon.
- Brush up with the topping mixture and bake it at 180’C for 12 to 15 min or till golden.
For Topping: Mix all ingredients and use them for topping.
